You’re ready to make your reservation in paradise, but you have questions…many questions.
HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?
The reservation process is very simple. Find a villa that you are interested in, fill out and send in our contact form or give us a call at 1.815.918.4400 (U.S.) letting us know the particulars (name of villa, dates requested, no. in party). We attempt to respond to each inquiry within one business day.
Once we have confirmed availability, we will call or send an email reply along with all forms required to secure your reservation. Please sign and date each form and email or fax back to (1-501-637-1306) within 48 hours. We suggest that you keep a copy of all forms for your personal records.
WHAT METHODS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT TO SECURE A RESERVATION?
In order to confirm your dates, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total rental fee, plus the fully refundable security deposit in the amount of $300.00. All fees are payable in U.S. dollars. Methods of payment we currently accept include; personal check, PayPal cash disbursal drawn on a personal bank account or PayPal credit/debit card payment.
* Please note, if you wish to confirm your reservation by credit/debit card payment through PayPal, there will be an additional 3.5% processing fee charged (3.9%) for cross border transactions.
The remaining 50% of the rental fee plus the 19% local tax is due 45 days in advance of arrival.
Please remember the earlier you book, the better. Many of our properties are booked well in advance, and we will accept reservations up to twelve months prior to occupancy.
WHAT ARE THE LOCAL FEES AND SECURITY DEPOSIT CHARGES?
We collect a 19% local tax. Please remember that this amount is not included in the quoted rental price and will be assessed as part of your overall charges. Each of our villas require a $300.00 refundable security deposit charge against possible damages. Pending satisfactory check-out inspection by our local property manager, your security deposit is refunded within four weeks of departure.
WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY TRIP? InsureMyTrip
We understand that sometimes there are circumstances beyond your control which may necessitate cancelling your reservation. Providing we are able to rebook the property that you have booked for the exact same dates and at the same rental rate, we will be happy to issue you a refund of your initial 50% deposit or any remaining balance. Please be aware that there will be a $150.00 charge levied for refunds on any seasonal rental and a $300.00 fee for refunds of holiday rentals.
Cozumel Rental Homes is not liable for any losses that you may incur because of accident, injury, weather, Acts of God, airline delay or cancellation, etc. For the above reasons, we do urge all of our clients to purchase travel insurance that can compensate them for any unexpected losses. There are many good companies to choose from when considering trip cancellation insurance. The better companies now also carry insurance that will cover your losses in the event of a hurricane. Please make sure to read all policies thoroughly before making a choice of insurance carriers.

WHAT ARE SEASONAL RATES?
The properties that are represented by Cozumel Rental Homes have different rate structures during the year. For most of our villas, high season rates begin in early January and run through the middle of July. Cost cutting Super Saver Rates on homes generally start on the 15th of July and run through mid-December, with the exception of Thanksgiving Week. We are happy to provide a quote by phone or email for Christmas and New Year’s week rentals. Please visit the individual villas to ascertain when actual seasonal rates apply.
WHAT AMENITIES WILL I FIND IN THE VILLAS?
Most of our villas provide these amenities;
maid service every second day and up to six days a week (Sundays and holidays excluded)
optional chef’s services
all linens, towels and beach towels
fully outfitted kitchens with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc.
all dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans
whole house water purification systems or purified bottled water
air conditioning and overhead fans
telephone with local service
cable or satellite tv
private pools with lounge chairs and outdoor furniture
outdoor dining area with table and chairs
services of a local property manager
Many also provide the following;
high speed internet service with computer or laptop hookup
off street parking
dive rinse tank
dive equipment lockout or drying area
stereo/cd player with ipod connections
games, cards etc.
WHAT CAN YOU TELL ME ABOUT TIPPING?
Cozumel Rental Homes does not have any specific policy with regard to tipping, however our clients often ask us to provide them with some type of guideline.
Each of our villas will provide maid services every second day and up to six days a week (at an extra charge, excluding Sundays and Mexican holidays) and your maid will offer excellent service. One of the most frequent comments that we hear is “We would love to take the maid home with us”. Like most workers in the service industry, housekeepers depend upon tips as part of their income. Should you choose to show your appreciation to you maid upon check-out, may we recommend a gratuity of $1.00 – $2.00 per person/per day of your rental period.
Love the gardens that surround you? Your gardener would welcome your tip as recognition of his efforts to keep you surrounded in tropical splendor.
Sometimes our guests choose to avail themselves of the optional chef services that we offer. If you contract for a chef, he and his wait personnel will be most grateful for an acknowledgement of the good service that they have supplied. You may want to tip according to what you might normally do in a fine restaurant.
WHY SHOULD I RENT A VILLA THROUGH COZUMEL RENTAL HOMES?
We are a local enterprise that is situated in Cozumel, so we are here to address our clients’ needs. The villas that we represent must meet our very exacting standards and because we manage these properties on a daily basis, we know each and every one intimately.
We maintain regular office hours from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday (Saturdays until noon), but we are on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide any assistance in emergencies. We greet our guests at the airport and help to arrange local transportation to the villa. Upon arrival at the vacation rental, we personally welcome and help to orient clients to the island and the property itself, providing information and arranging for any special requests. Our customer’s satisfaction with their vacation experience is of the utmost importance to us.
